MFD Logo nodate 2015 R ColorManufacturing Day 2016 was a huge success.  In West Michigan we celebrate Manufacturing Day as a weeklong effort dedicated to expand knowledge and improve the perception of manufacturing careers and the value of the industry to our economy.  A majority of the events occurred October 3 through October 7, however a few events were scheduled throughout the month of October to accommodate various schedules.  Events included facility tours, hands-on activities, videos and discussions with students, teachers, and administration about careers in manufacturing.  Throughout the month of October there were 75 sites that provided over 3,100 students with over 5,300 different manufacturing experiences throughout West Michigan.
